National Child Protection Week is an opportunity to reflect on how children are cared for, supported and protected across Australia.

This year’s theme, “Every Conversation Matters: Shifting Conversation to Action,” focuses on moving beyond conversations about child safety and taking practical, protective action for children and families.

At Jannawi, this is something we put into practice every day.

For us, child protection is found in the everyday moments. It can be asking a child, “How can we help?”, supporting them to develop social skills, explaining what an AVO means and how it can help keep them safe, or simply giving them a choice about an activity or what they would like for afternoon tea.
