PIN is a collaborative cross-sector network initiated and supported by Jannawi to strengthen culturally responsive practice and support for Pacific children, young people, and families across NSW. The network is facilitated by Jannawi’s Pacific Bilingual Family Worker and brings together Pasifika workers and professionals committed to improving outcomes for Pacific communities.

Grounded in Jannawi’s ecological psychosocial framework, PIN was established to reduce service system silos, strengthen cross-sector collaboration, and provide a culturally safe space for reflective dialogue on the complex issues impacting Pacific communities. The network also seeks to reduce the cultural load experienced by bilingual and bicultural workers navigating multiple service systems.

Established in 2015, PIN has grown into a respected cross-sector network supporting coordinated responses to complex family and community needs. It has contributed to a range of initiatives including Pacific language advocacy, Seasonal Worker support workshops, health promotion activities, and children’s book launches celebrating Pacific cultures and languages.

PIN meets monthly and provides professionals with opportunities to connect, share knowledge, strengthen partnerships, and collaborate in responding to the needs of Pacific families and communities.
