Community of Practice for Bicultural CALD Workers

Jannawi is establishing a new Community of Practice for DFV Bicultural and Bilingual CALD Workers and is inviting Expressions of Interest from workers across services, sectors, and communities.

This initiative will bring together bicultural and bilingual practitioners working with culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities to connect, share knowledge, and strengthen culturally responsive practice. The Community of Practice will provide a safe and collaborative space to reflect on practice, explore shared challenges, and build collective approaches that support the wellbeing of children, young people, and families.

Grounded in cultural safety and lived experience, this initiative recognises the unique skills, insights, and cultural responsibilities carried by bicultural workers. It also aims to strengthen peer connection, reduce professional isolation, and support sustainable practice within complex service systems.

Participants will have the opportunity to engage in regular reflective discussions, contribute to shared learning, and help shape the direction of the group over time.

Who should express interest?
Bicultural and bilingual CALD identifying workers across community services, and related sectors who are supporting CALD diverse communities in NSW.
